Extract core methodologies from books, and generate an independent installable skill for each methodology.
Workflow
1. Receive book information
Two methods are supported:
Method 1: Book name (web search)
- Full book name
- Author (if there are multiple books with the same name)
- Whether there is a specific methodology to extract (optional)
Method 2: Upload a file (more accurate)
- Supports formats such as PDF, Word, TXT, Markdown, etc.
- Extract methodologies directly from the file content
- More accurate, avoiding deviations in online information
- Suitable for users who have e-books
Recommendation: If the user has a book file, prioritize the file upload method.
2. Extract book methodologies
Method A: Extract from a file (recommended)
If the user uploaded a file:
-
Read the file content
- Use the
readtool to read the uploaded file - Supports formats such as PDF, Word, TXT, Markdown, etc.
- Use the
-
Identify core chapters
- Look at the table of contents structure
- Identify chapters that contain methodologies
- Focus on keywords such as: frameworks, models, steps, methodologies, etc.
-
Extract methodologies
- Methodology name (Chinese and English)
- The core purpose and applicable scenarios of the methodology
- The key steps or framework of the methodology
- Practical application cases or examples
- Related slash command suggestions
Method B: Web search
If there is no file, use the websearch tool to search for the book's core methodologies, frameworks, or models. Search strategy:
Search keyword combinations:
- "{book title} core methodology"
- "{book title} main viewpoints"
- "{book title} methodology summary"
- "{book title} practical framework"
- "{book title} key concepts"
Information source priority:
- Official book introductions and tables of contents
- Authoritative book reviews and reading notes
- The author's public speeches or articles
- Book excerpts from well-known platforms (such as Douban, Zhihu, WeChat public accounts)
Key points to extract:
- Methodology name (Chinese and English)
- The core purpose and applicable scenarios of the methodology
- The key steps or framework of the methodology
- Practical application cases or examples
- Related slash command suggestions (such as /mvp)
Hybrid method (best practice): If the user has both provided the book title and uploaded a file:
- Prioritize extracting the core content from the file
- Use web search to supplement background information and cases
- Combine both to generate a more complete skill
3. Organize the methodology list
Organize the searched information into a structured methodology list, including:
{
"book_name": "书籍名称",
"author": "作者",
"methodologies": [
{
"name_en": "find-community",
"name_cn": "寻找社群",
"trigger_scenario": "想找创业方向、定位目标人群",
"description": "方法论的详细描述",
"steps": ["步骤1", "步骤2", "步骤3"],
"output_format": "预期的输出格式",
"examples": "实际应用示例"
}
]
}
4. Generate a Skill for Each Methodology
Create an independent skill folder for each methodology, with the following structure:
{methodology-name}/
├── SKILL.md
SKILL.md template:
---
name: {methodology-name}
---
# {方法论中文名称}
{方法论的详细描述,包括来源书籍、核心理念等}
- {场景1}
- {场景2}
- {场景3}
### 步骤 1: {步骤名称}
{详细说明}
### 步骤 2: {步骤名称}
{详细说明}
### 步骤 3: {步骤名称}
{详细说明}
{描述最终输出的格式和内容}
{提供一个具体的输出示例}
- {注意事项1}
- {注意事项2}
5. Package All Skills
Use the packaging script of skill-creator to package each methodology skill into a .skill file:
python -m scripts.package_skill {methodology-name}
Place all generated .skill files in a unified output directory.
Output Deliverables
Finally provide the user with:
- Methodology list document - List all extracted methodologies and their corresponding skills
- Multiple .skill files - One independent installable skill per methodology
- Installation instructions - How to install and use these skills
Output example:
1. find-community.skill -
2. validate-idea.skill -
3. mvp.skill -
...
所有 skill 文件已生成在: /path/to/output/
Quality Standards
Methodology extraction quality:
- Accurately reflect the book's original meaning, without distorting the author's views
- Clear boundaries between methodologies, no duplication
- Each methodology has a clear applicable scenario
- Provide executable steps, not abstract concepts
Skill generation quality:
- The description is clear and accurate, easy to trigger
- Applicable scenarios are specific, making it easy for users to understand when to use it
- Execution steps are actionable, with clear inputs and outputs
- Includes examples to help users understand the expected results
Special Case Handling
File upload related:
- If the file format is not supported, prompt the user with the supported formats (PDF, Word, TXT, Markdown)
- If the file is too large or has too much content, prioritize extracting the table of contents and core chapters
- If the file content is unclear, suggest the user provide the book title for a web search to supplement it
- If the file is a scanned PDF, prompt the user that recognition may be inaccurate and suggest searching by book title
Insufficient book information:
- If the search results are insufficient to extract complete methodologies, clearly inform the user
- Provide the partial information already found and ask the user whether to continue
- Suggest the user upload the book file or provide more context
Too many methodologies:
- If the book contains a large number of methodologies (>15), prioritize extracting the 8-12 most core ones
- Ask the user whether they have a specific type of methodology they are interested in
- Provide a methodology list for the user to choose from
Methodology name conflict:
- If a methodology name is already taken, add a book prefix (such as "lean-startup-find-community")
- Ensure each skill name is unique and meaningful
