Plugin Marketplace Installation Guide

Overview

A Claude Code Plugin is a unit that bundles five components into a single package for distribution. Install simultaneously on Claude, Codex, Gemini, and GSD using the installation script or the /plugin command.

Installation Methods

Method A: Installation Script (Recommended)

Mac/Linux:

git clone https://github.com/cskwork/claude-minimal-plugin.git
cd claude-minimal-plugin
chmod +x install.sh && ./install.sh

The installation script executes 4 steps in order:

Skills -> ~/.claude/skills/symlink to
Agents -> ~/.claude/agents/symlink to
Commands -> ~/.claude/commands/symlink to
CLAUDE.md -> ~/.claude/CLAUDE.md installation (back up existing files as .bak)

Method B: Claude Plugin System

For Claude Code only, use the /plugin command.

Step 1: Register Marketplace (first time only)

/plugin marketplace add cskwork/claude-minimal-plugin

Step 2: Install Plugin

/plugin install minimal

Step 3: Use Skills

Installed skills are invoked in the /<plugin>:<skill> format:

npx skills: Search/install individual skills from the external open-source ecosystem (skills.sh)
/plugin: Install curated plugin bundles from this marketplace

Q: How do I use an MCP server in Codex/Gemini? The MCP server is automatically registered in the Claude plugin system. To use it from other tools, manually add the MCP config to that tool's configuration file.

Q: Can individual skills be installed? Plugins are installed as a bundle. If you need an individual skill, copy it directly from the source URL of library.yamland place it in the skills directory.
