Use the bundled CLI instead of hand-copying parser responses. The CLI handles:
- validating
https://weixin.qq.com/sph/...links, - POSTing the share URL to the parser endpoint,
- selecting
h264orh265, - downloading the resulting video URL,
- saving an mp4 to a local path.
Command
From this skill directory:
python3 scripts/wx_channels_download.py --url "https://weixin.qq.com/sph/A9znfitafp"
Useful options:
python3 scripts/wx_channels_download.py \
--url "https://weixin.qq.com/sph/A9znfitafp" \
--quality h265 \
--output ./video.mp4 \
--json
Default behavior:
- parser:
https://sph.litao.workers.dev/api/fetch_video_profile - quality:
h264 - output:
~/Downloads/<video-description>.mp4
Use --parser <url> if the default parser fails or the user has their own Cloudflare Worker parser.
Agent workflow
When the user pastes a 视频号 link and asks to download it:
- Run the CLI with
--urland an explicit--outputif the user requested a destination. - Verify the resulting file exists and is non-empty. If
ffprobeis available, verify duration and codecs. - Report the saved path and observed metadata.
If the parser fails, say the link could not be resolved and include the parser error. Common causes: expired share link, parser cookie failure, Tencent endpoint changes, or restricted content.
Boundaries
This skill does not install certificates, modify system proxies, automate WeChat Desktop, or bypass access restrictions. It only downloads videos when the share-link parser returns a direct downloadable media URL.
