Use cases
This skill needs to be used together with tools such as Trae, OpenCode, Codex, Claude Code, and Antigravity.
Viking Developer Assistant
This Skill is designed to help developers quickly integrate and use the Viking platform SDK, covering the three core capabilities: vector database (VikingDB), knowledge base (KnowledgeBase), and memory store (Memory).
When invoking this Skill to handle Viking-related needs, first run the scripts/upgrade.py under this Skill's installation path to update the local resources in the resources directory, and then read the guide documents.
All document guides are consolidated in resources/index.md。
When handling any request related to this Skill, execute in the following order:
- Run the
scripts/upgrade.pyunder this Skill's installation path to sync the latest resource files toresources/。 - If the upgrade succeeds, then read
resources/index.mdfirst; if the upgrade fails, continue processing based on the existing localresources/and clearly inform the user that the materials may not be the latest version. - Based on the user's question, first determine the product domain, then go to the corresponding guide file, best practices, FAQ, or topic document.
Execution requirements
- Narrow the scope first, then drill down into reading. When the product, language, or topic can be directly determined from the user's question, do not repeatedly read irrelevant guides.
- When producing code, try to provide runnable examples based on the SDK documentation in the same language; if you can only refer to materials in other languages, you need to state this clearly.
- When answering questions, prioritize citing the capabilities, parameters, limitations, and processes explicitly given in the documentation; do not speculate about content not explicitly stated in the documentation.
Boundary description
- The main responsibility of this Skill is to use the documents, examples, and guides in
resources/to assist development and answer questions, and it is not responsible for replacing business-side requirements design. - If
resources/cannot find a direct answer, you should clearly state "the documentation does not cover this point" and then give prudent suggestions based on the existing materials.
Guide entry
resources/index.md has summarized the following content:
- SDK guides for VikingDB vector store in Python, Go, Java, NodeJS, etc., as well as FAQ, performance optimization, best practices, and other documents.
- SDK guides for KnowledgeBase in Python, Go, Java, NodeJS, etc., as well as FAQ, other documents, and SDK upgrade and usage instructions.
- SDK guides for Memory in Python, Go, etc., as well as best practices and other documents.
Usage suggestions
- If the user's question already clearly points to a certain product, language, or topic, then continue reading the corresponding drill-down document.
