Chinese Journal of Computers (CJC) is a CCF Class A comprehensive Chinese monthly journal with strict requirements on language and style: submissions must be "clear in argument, sufficient and authentic in data, well-organized, concise in wording, and free of language and textual errors," and must conform to the journal's long paper template. This skill provides Chinese scientific writing standards oriented to CJC, helping authors write an original research paper into a long paper that conforms to the journal's style and can withstand language review by editors and external reviewers. Verification date 2026-07-09; for individual bibliographic details, the official template shall prevail; unconfirmed items are marked to be verified。
I. Title and Abstract
- Title: The Chinese title should be accurate, specific, and searchable; at the same time provide theEnglish title, and the two should have the same meaning. Avoid vague titles of the "research based on..." type; highlight the object and contribution.
- Chinese abstract: Use aninformative abstract, containing four elements—(1) the problem this paper solves and the research purpose; (2) the methods adopted; (3) the main results; (4) specific conclusions useful to readers. The abstract should stand alone, contain not too many subjective expressions such as "this paper" or "we," and not cite references or contain figure or table numbers.
- English Abstract: Correspond to the content of the Chinese abstract, with accurate grammar and idiomatic terminology; this is the face of the paper's international visibility.
II. Keywords and Chinese Library Classification Number
- Keywords: Generally 3~8, with one-to-one correspondence between Chinese and English, choosing searchable and discriminative terms, avoiding overly broad words.
- Chinese Library Classification number: For computer categories, begin with TP , selected according to the topic, for example:
- TP18 Artificial Intelligence / TP311 Program Design and Software Engineering / TP301 Theory, Methods
- TP393 Computer Networks / TP309 Security and Confidentiality / TP391 Information Processing, Pattern Recognition Select according to this paper's topicthe most appropriateone to two classification numbers (for specific numbers, refer to the Chinese Library Classification,to be verified subdivision numbers).
III. Main Text Structure and Argumentation Density
CJC long papers allow full development; a typical structure: Introduction → Related Work → Problem Definition/Preliminaries → Method/Theory → Experiments/Evaluation → Discussion (threats to validity/limitations) → Conclusion and Outlook. Writing points:
- The introduction should clearly explain "problem—shortcomings of the status quo—contributions of this paper", listing the contributions item by item (see
cjc-related-work)。 - A long paper is not equal to padding: every section must advance the argument; delete developments unrelated to the main line.
- The method should be re-computable: definitions, symbols, and algorithm pseudocode should be complete so that readers can reproduce them accordingly (in conjunction with
cjc-reproducibility)。 - Experiments answer clear questions: first establish the evaluation questions, then answer them with data (in conjunction with
cjc-experiments)。
IV. Terminology, Symbols, and Language
- Unified terminology: The same concept should use the same Chinese term throughout the paper; when an English abbreviation first appears, give the full Chinese name and full English name, such as "convolutional neural network (Convolutional Neural Network, CNN)".
- Consistent symbols: Variables in italic, vectors/matrices in bold, subscript and superscript conventions; a full-text symbol table may be placed in the preliminary knowledge section.
- Concise language: In Chinese scientific writing, avoid colloquialisms and redundant words; express one idea per sentence; avoid vague degree words such as "very" and "greatly".
- No textual errors: Typos, punctuation misuse, and mixed Chinese/English punctuation all leave a bad impression at the initial review; proofread sentence by sentence before submission.
V. Quantities and Units
- Always uselegal measurement units(The Legal Measurement Units of the People's Republic of China).
- The usage between numbers and units, thousands separators, percent signs, and range expressions should be consistent throughout the text.
- Experimental units for time, memory, throughput, etc. should be standardized (e.g., ms, GB, req/s), avoiding mixed usage.
VI. Figure and Table Conventions
- Figure and table captions in Chinese and English(per template requirements); figures and tables must be "most necessary", without piling up redundant ones.
- Text within figures should be clear with sufficient font size, still legible when printed in black and white; tables should preferably be three-line tables.
- Every figure and table should be cited and interpreted in the main text; do not include figures or tables that "appear but are not discussed".
VII. References GB/T 7714
- According to GB/T 7714 for citation; in-text citations correspond one-to-one with the numbering in the reference list at the end.
- Chinese references need to provide Chinese-English bilingualcitation, with authors, title, journal name, year, volume (issue), and page numbers complete.
- Document type identifiers should be standardized ([J] journal, [C] conference, [M] monograph, [D] dissertation, etc.).
- Prefer citing high-quality, traceable sources; avoid excessive self-citation and irrelevant citations. Example (sequential numbering system, format subject to the official template):
[1] 张三, 李四. 面向XX的YY方法. 计算机学报, 2024, 47(3): 500-515.
ZHANG San, LI Si. A YY method for XX. Chinese Journal of Computers, 2024, 47(3): 500-515.
VIII. Language Self-Check List
- Are the Chinese and English abstracts complete with the four essential elements and corresponding in content?
- Are there 3~8 keywords, corresponding in Chinese and English? Is the Chinese Library Classification Number (TP) accurate?
- Are terms/symbols consistent throughout the text? Are abbreviations given in full at first occurrence?
- Do quantities and units use legal measurement units and remain consistent throughout?
- Are figure and table captions standardized, and is every figure and table discussed?
- Do references follow GB/T 7714, with Chinese references in Chinese-English bilingual citation and numbering corresponding?
- Has it been read through once with no typos and no punctuation misuse?
IX. Before-and-After Comparison of Abstract Rewriting (Illustrative)
Before revision (incomplete elements, vague):
随着人工智能的发展,图神经网络被广泛研究。本文提出了一种新的图神经网络方法,
实验表明效果很好,具有重要意义。
After revision (complete reporting-type four elements):
针对大规模图上节点分类中邻域噪声导致精度下降的问题(问题/目的),本文提出一种基于自适应邻域
筛选的图神经网络方法,通过可学习门控在聚合前抑制噪声邻居(方法);在 5 个公开数据集上,该方法
较最强基线平均提升 x%,且在高噪声设置下更稳健(结果);结果表明邻域质量而非邻域规模是影响精度
的关键,为噪声图上的表示学习提供了新思路(结论)。
After revision, each sentence corresponds to one of "problem/method/result/conclusion", with no vague degree words, and can be independently retrieved.
X. Conventions for Punctuation, Numbers, and Mixed Chinese-English Typesetting
- Chinese main text usesfull-width punctuation(, . ; : ""), English and formulas use half-width; do not mix Chinese and English punctuation.
- Arabic numerals are used for measurement and numbering; Chinese characters are used for approximate numbers and idioms (e.g., "three situations"). For larger numbers, use international units or consistent thousands separators.
- Spaces between Chinese and English, and between numbers and Chinese, should be consistent throughout the text (per template requirements).
- English abbreviations, variables, and code use half-width; pay attention to readability when Chinese and English words are adjacent.
XI. Connection Between Writing and Other Stages
- If language and formatting issues are not cleaned up before submission, they will leave a bad impression at the initial review of the Chinese Journal of Computers (CJC) (see
cjc-submission)。 - For the delta expression in related work, see
cjc-related-work; see the experiment presentation incjc-experiments; for the division between main text and appendix, seecjc-supplementary。
XII. Final Language Check
- Are the four essential elements of the abstract complete, free of vague degree words, and independently retrievable?
- Are the keywords/Chinese Library Classification number standardized, with Chinese and English corresponding?
- Are terminology and symbols unified throughout the text, and is the full term given at the first occurrence of an abbreviation?
- Are punctuation (full-width/half-width), number usage, and mixed Chinese-English typesetting consistent throughout the text?
- Are figure and table titles standardized, and is every figure and table discussed?
- Do the references follow GB/T 7714, with Chinese references accompanied by English translations and numbering corresponding?
