Northbound Capital Flow Skill

Data Dependencies and Execution Prerequisites

Wind is recommended for wind-mcp-skill to obtain underlying data. Before execution, first check whether wind-mcp-skillalready exists locally; if not, prompt the user to install:

Skill Positioning

This skill is used to track changes in northbound capital or foreign investor style, answering "what foreign investors have recently been buying and selling, whether their preferences have switched, and whether these flows support the current market main line." The output focus is not simply listing net inflow and net outflow figures, but explaining the relationship between capital preferences, sector migration, and market structure.

Execution Process

Step 1: Confirm the observation period, market scope, and comparison benchmark

First clarify the scale of this capital analysis:

  • Whether to look at single-day, weekly, monthly, or phase-based changes
  • Whether to observe overall capital flows or focus on a certain industry or stock pool
  • Whether comparison is needed with index performance, sector rotation, or individual stock trends
  • Whether the user wants to see the current direction or look for clues of trend reversal

If the user does not specify, expand by default at two levels: "recent one week and one month."

Step 2: Sort out the overall capital direction

First answer from an overall perspective:

  • Whether capital is continuously net inflowing, continuously net outflowing, or repeatedly swinging
  • Whether capital behavior looks more like allocation-type increases or trading-type short-term switching
  • Whether the current flow is consistent with overall market performance
  • Whether a capital inflection point has already appeared or the original trend is still continuing

The goal of this stage is to establish the broad direction first, rather than jumping directly to sub-sectors.

Step 3: Break down industry and style preferences

After the overall direction is clear, further analyze:

  • Which industries or themes have received明显的 increases in allocation
  • Which directions have been continuously reduced in allocation
  • Whether capital prefers large-cap leaders, growth style, value style, or defensive directions
  • Whether style migration is consistent with market rotation and macro expectations

Step 4: Analyze representative targets and concentration

Further determine whether flows are concentrated in a few core targets, with key points including:

  • Whether capital is highly clustered in a few heavyweight or leading stocks
  • Whether net inflows are broad-based at the sector level
  • Whether the flows of certain individual stocks are only phased trading behavior
  • Whether foreign investor preferences are making high-low switches within industries

Step 5: Judge the credibility and limitations of capital signals

Capital flows are often overinterpreted, so supplementary explanations are needed:

  • Whether single-day flows are easily affected by passive rebalancing or event disturbances
  • Whether phased flows are consistent with long-term allocation logic
  • Whether capital inflows and outflows truly changed the trend judgment
  • If capital direction diverges from price direction, which side deserves more attention

Step 6: Form the northbound capital direction draft

The final output should help users clearly see where capital support lies, how strong the signal is, and whether it is sufficient to verify the current style judgment. The main text should retain only the overall direction, preference breakdown, representative targets, and credibility judgment.

Quality Requirements

  1. Capital flow analysis must first look at the overall direction, then industries and individual stocks, avoiding focusing only on a few popular stocks from the start.
  2. It is necessary to distinguish allocation-driven flows from trading-driven flows to improve the quality of interpretation.
  3. Capital flows must be judged in combination with price performance and sector rotation, and cannot be interpreted in isolation.
  4. Limitations such as passive rebalancing and event disturbances need to be pointed out to prevent treating a single day's flow as a long-term signal.
  5. The output should help users judge whether the capital side supports the current main theme and style migration.
