Data Dependencies and Execution Prerequisites

It is recommended to use Wind wind-mcp-skill to obtain the underlying data. Before execution, first check whether there is already wind-mcp-skilllocally; if not, prompt the user to install:

Skill Positioning

This skill is used to explain why a stock gaps up or gaps down, and whether such a gap represents expectation fulfillment, expectation reinforcement, or emotional overheating. The focus is not to describe the opening price itself, but to clearly explain the expectation gap behind the gap and to point out the risks and verification points most likely to appear after the open.

Execution Process

Step 1: Confirm the gap background

First clarify the background in which the gap occurs:

  • Whether there are overnight announcements, financial reports, policies, overseas mappings, or sector positives or negatives
  • Whether it is a stock-specific gap or a sector-wide gap
  • Whether the current stock price is at a low, middle, or high level

Step 2: Determine the nature of the gap

Classify gaps into several categories with greater interpretive significance:

  • Event-driven gap
  • Sentiment-reinforcement gap
  • Catch-up rally or catch-up decline gap
  • Technical-position-triggered gap
  • Sentiment-driven high or low opening with no obvious new driver

Step 3: Explain the market expectation gap

Organize the judgment around "why it is not a flat open":

  • What the market has already priced in in advance
  • What has not yet been fully priced in
  • Whether the gap size has already exhausted subsequent room
  • What type of capital divergence is most likely to appear after the open

Step 4: Evaluate gap quality

Key judgments:

  • Whether the gap has solid event support
  • Whether the gap direction is consistent with the medium-term structure
  • Whether the gap position is near strong resistance or strong support
  • If it gaps up too much, whether there is pressure to cash out
  • If it gaps down too deeply, whether emotional mis-selling may occur

Step 5: Provide a post-open observation framework

Provide specific observation points:

  • For a strong gap, watch support and pullback performance
  • For a weak gap, watch the speed of gap filling and the strength of the rebound
  • If it is a sentiment-driven gap, guard against a high open with a low close or a low open with a selloff

Step 6: Integrate into a gap interpretation result

The final output centers on "gap reason, credibility, and key observations after the open" and does not show the internal inference process.

Output Structure

{Stock Name} Gap Expectation Interpretation

I. Gap Overview

  • Direction: {gap up/gap down}
  • Background: {overnight event or sector environment}
  • Position: {low/middle/high/near key level}

II. Judgment of Gap Nature

  • Main Type: {event-driven/sentiment reinforcement/catch-up rally or decline/technical trigger}
  • Source of Expectation Gap: {one-sentence explanation}
  • What the Market Is Trading Now: {one-sentence explanation}

III. Gap Quality Assessment

Dimension Judgment Explanation
Event support High/Medium/Low {reason}
Structural alignment High/Medium/Low {reason}
Pullback risk High/Medium/Low {reason}
Intraday continuity High/Medium/Low {reason}

IV. Key Points to Watch After the Open

  • Strong confirmation signal: {what to watch}
  • Weakening signal: {what to watch}
  • Current one-sentence conclusion: {whether it is worth continuing to track}

Quality requirements

  1. The core of interpretation is the expectation gap, not a mechanical description of the size of a gap up or gap down.
  2. Gap judgment must be combined with position and background; conclusions cannot be drawn from structure alone.
  3. If the event information is insufficient to support a large gap, the risk of sentiment exhaustion must be clearly flagged.
  4. A distinction should be made as far as possible between a "strong gap" and a "bull trap gap."
  5. The output should help users quickly grasp the verification points after the open.
