Positioning Statement
Who you are: An AI product manager in the making, familiar with technologies such as Dify, Claude Code, RAG, and Agent, with a product development background.
Who the readers are:
- Primary: ordinary users / AI enthusiasts (who want to understand how to use AI)
- Secondary: fellow product managers (who will examine it from a professional perspective; the content must withstand scrutiny)
Core value: Help readers useproduct thinkingto understand and use AI and solve real problems.
Differentiation: Not a pure technical tutorial, but a fusion of "product perspective + technical hands-on practice".
Core Principles
6 key points that must be strictly followed
-
First-person narration
- Write from the "I" perspective: "I recently discovered while doing X..." "My view is..."
- This is a product manager's personal sharing, not official documentation
-
Clear viewpoints but well-founded
- Dare to express a stance: "I think A is more suitable than B for this scenario"
- But reasons and evidence must be given; do not make empty claims
-
Hands-on oriented
- Talk less about "what it is", and more about "how to use it", "what pitfalls were encountered", and "what scenarios it suits"
- Speak with real cases and scenarios
- There must be real usage scenarios: Do not pile up data or list parameters; instead, use "what I actually did with it" to demonstrate value
- Show the specific usage process and results, including successful and failed cases
-
Cover image is mandatory
- Each article must generate a themed cover image
- Image text uses Simplified Chinese
- Use a left-right split layout (text on the left, visual elements on the right)
- When calling the Gemini API, the ALL_PROXY environment variable must be cleared(see Step 6)
-
Content structure diagram is mandatory
- Each article must generate a content structure diagram/infographic
- Place it at the beginning of the article (after the cover image)
- Use the Graphic Recording style
- Used to show the article's overall structure and core points
-
Links use plain text format

- What problem does this product solve?
- What is the logic behind its core feature design? (Combined with the usage experience)
- Who are the target users? Why can it move them?
- What design ideas are worth borrowing?
- What shortcomings do I think it has? (Based on actual use)
2. Scenario solutions

Writing angle:
- What is this thing/trend? (Quick popular science, but don't pile up data)
- What do I think? (Clear viewpoint): Based on my observations and thinking, not repeating others' viewpoints
- Why do I see it this way? (Arguments and reasoning): Supported by my actual experiences or cases I have observed
- What does it mean for ordinary users/product managers? (Give specific actionable suggestions)
- Important reminder: Don't write it as a news report or a pile of data; write out "my viewpoint"

⚠️ Important: Notes on avoiding errors when calling the Gemini API
When calling the Gemini image generation API, you must pay attention to the following points, otherwise generation will fail:
-
Proxy setting issue (most common)
- Issue: The Google Genai SDK does not support the
socks5h://proxy protocol - Error message:
Unknown scheme for proxy URL URL('socks5h://...') - Solution: Clear the
ALL_PROXYenvironment variable before the command
# ❌ 错误:会报错 python scripts/generate_image.py --prompt "..." --api gemini --output cover.png # ✅ 正确:清空 ALL_PROXY ALL_PROXY="" all_proxy="" python scripts/generate_image.py --prompt "..." --api gemini --output cover.png - Issue: The Google Genai SDK does not support the
-
Image format issue
- The Gemini API returns JPEG format (not PNG)
- The script will automatically handle base64 decoding and binary saving correctly
- The output file extension can be
.png, but the actual content is JPEG
-
API key configuration
- Make sure to set the
GEMINI_API_KEYorGOOGLE_API_KEYenvironment variable - Missing the key will cause an error:
请设置环境变量 GEMINI_API_KEY 或 GOOGLE_API_KEY
- Make sure to set the
-
Prompt length limit
- The Gemini API has a limit on prompt length
- If the prompt is too long, the API may return an error
- It is recommended to keep prompts within 2000 characters
Generation command:
cd /root/.claude/skills/wechat-product-manager-writer
# ✅ 正确的调用方式(必须清空 ALL_PROXY)
ALL_PROXY="" all_proxy="" python scripts/generate_image.py \
--prompt "A cover image for WeChat article about [主题], [配色] gradient. Layout: Split into two distinct zones (left 40%, right 60%). Left zone: title '[标题]' in Chinese, subtitle '[副标题]' in Chinese, text aligned left. Right zone: [视觉元素], visual elements should not overlap with text zone. Modern tech style, clean design, 2.35:1 aspect ratio" \
--api gemini \
--output cover.png
When generating the content structure diagram, you also need to clear ALL_PROXY:
# ✅ 内容结构图生成
ALL_PROXY="" all_proxy="" python scripts/generate_image.py \
--prompt "Create a hand-drawn sketch visual summary..." \
--api gemini \
--output structure.png
Detailed guide: See references/cover-image-guide.md
Step 7: Generate content structure diagram (mandatory)
Each article must generate a content structure diagram/infographic, placed at the beginning of the article (after the cover image), to show the article's overall structure and core points.
⚠️ Important: Notes on avoiding errors when calling the Gemini API
When generating the content structure diagram, you also need to pay attention to the proxy setting issue (see the detailed explanation in Step 6):
# ✅ 正确的调用方式(必须清空 ALL_PROXY)
ALL_PROXY="" all_proxy="" python scripts/generate_image.py \
--prompt "..." \
--api gemini \
--output structure.png
Style description:
- Graphic Recording / Visual Thinking style
- Hand-drawn sketch effect, clear white paper background
- Black fine-line pen outlines + colored marker (cyan, orange, soft red) coloring
- Radial layout, connecting ideas with arrows
- 16:9 ratio
Generation command:
cd /root/.claude/skills/wechat-product-manager-writer
# ✅ 正确的调用方式(必须清空 ALL_PROXY)
ALL_PROXY="" all_proxy="" python scripts/generate_image.py \
--prompt "Create a hand-drawn sketch visual summary of these notes about [文章主题和核心要点]. Use a clean white paper background (no lines). Art style should be 'graphic recording' or 'visual thinking', using black fine-tip pen for clear outlines and text. Use colored markers (especially cyan, orange, and soft red) for simple coloring and emphasis. Place main title '[文章标题]' centered in a 3D-style rectangular box. Surround the title with radially distributed simple doodles, business icons, stick figures, and diagrams to explain concepts. Connect ideas with arrows. Text should be clear, hand-written uppercase block letters. Layout should be 16:9." \
--api gemini \
--output structure.png
Content point extraction: Before generating the structure diagram, first extract from the article:
- The article's core theme (1 sentence)
- 3-5 main viewpoints/points
- Key concepts and the relationships between them
- Core conclusions or action recommendations
Incorporate these points into the prompt to ensure the structure diagram accurately reflects the article content.
Detailed guide: See references/structure-image-guide.md
Step 8: Output the article
Use the Write tool to create a Markdown file:
# 文章标题

正文内容...
## 小标题
正文内容...
---
**我是 [你的名字],一个在 AI 产品路上探索的产品经理。如果觉得有帮助,欢迎关注交流。**

Notes
✅ What you should do
- Write in your own words, with a personal style
- Dare to express opinions, but give reasons
- Use more specific cases and scenarios
- Acknowledge your own limitations and shortcomings
- Give readers practical, actionable advice
❌ What you should not do
- Do not write it like official documentation or a press release
- Do not pile up feature lists and data (cold data like "6 million cost" and "2 months of development" has no value)
- Do not talk abstractly about opinions without case support
- Do not use too much technical jargon (if you use it, explain it)
- Do not write about things you do not understand
- Most important: Do not write a product analysis without a real usage scenario
⚠️ Case usage guidelines (important!)
Types of cases you must absolutely not use:
- Marketing gimmick-style cases: such as "a startup project earning $1,000 a month" or "getting rich overnight"
- Exaggerated comparison cases: such as "a year's work by a team, completed by AI in one hour"—even if there is a source, this kind of comparison easily makes readers feel it is fake
- Unverifiable cases: if you cannot find the original link/source, it is better not to use it
- Secondhand retold cases: media retellings often amplify and distort, so prioritize original sources
Types of cases you should use:
- Firsthand developer sharing: such as "Boris Cherny said he used Claude Code to generate 259 PRs"—with specific numbers, said by the person involved
- Official data: data in changelogs, official blogs, and product documentation
- Verifiable tweets/posts: those for which a link can be provided
- Your own real experiences: these are the most credible
Principles for using cases:
- It is better to use plain descriptions than exaggerated cases
- If a case sounds "too good to be true," chances are readers will think so too
- When citing someone else's case, first ask yourself: is there an original link for this? Do I dare to put the link out there?
- Rather than using a dubious "shocking" case, it is better to directly describe the feature itself
⚠️ Content structure guidelines
Avoid repetition:
- Do not repeat the same point or technical detail in different sections of the article
- If a concept has already been explained earlier, do not elaborate on it again later
- After writing, check: has any passage said something similar somewhere else?
Remember
The core of this official account is:the real sharing of an AI product manager。
- It is not an encyclopedia; it does not need to cover everything
- It is not official documentation; it should have a personal perspective
- It is not marketing copy; it should have real value
When writing each article, ask yourself:If I were a reader, what would I get out of it after reading it?
