Conduct professional in-depth analysis of any academic paper and produce two reports of different depths at once.
Core Principles
- Academic Rigor: The restatement of research design, data results, and argumentation logic must be absolutely accurate and conform to the academic standards of the field.
- Theoretical Depth: Clearly reveal the paper's theoretical foundation, core assumptions, and its supplementation, revision, or overturning of the existing theoretical system.
- Complete Reproduction: Fully present the entire process from raising the question to drawing the conclusion, especially the methodology and key data, achieving zero omission of key information.
- Beyond Translation: The output should reveal the paper's internal logic and innovations more clearly than a linear translation.
- Dual-Mode Output: Always provide both Part A and Part B in one final deliverable file.
Workflow
Paper study is carried out in four steps:
Step 1: Read the full paper
Use the pdftotext command or the file tool's read action to extract the full text of the paper. For papers from a URL source, first try to download the PDF and then extract it. It must cover all content from the abstract to the references. For papers containing important figures and tables, use the file tool's view action to view the pages with key figures and tables, and save the figure and table information to a text file.
Step 2: Comprehensive analysis
Create a temporary analysis file temp_analysis.md, extract and organize the following elements:
- Research question, hypotheses, methodology, data sources
- Core findings and key data
- Theoretical contributions and practical significance
- The paper's fundamental contradictions, entry perspective, and methodological innovation
This step cannot be skipped, as it is the thinking process that ensures the quality of the final report.
Step 3: Write the dual-mode report
Create the final deliverable file, with the filename format [论文简称]_研读报告.md。

Step 4: Deliver the results
Use the message tool to deliver the final report file. In the message text, briefly summarize the paper's core innovation, key findings, and theoretical value, and guide the user to view the attachment.
Writing quality standards
- Use complete paragraphs rather than large numbers of lists, and alternate between paragraphs and tables to organize information
- Provide Chinese-English equivalents when key terms first appear
- Cite specific data and experimental results from the paper to support each statement
- Part A pursues professionalism and completeness, while Part B pursues insight and concision
- In the final file, separate Part A and Part B with
