Macro Data Monitoring Skill

Workflow

When this skill is triggered (usually via cron at 10 PM every day), execute the following steps:

1. Launch the browser

Use the browser tool to launch browser control:

browser action=start profile=openclaw

2. Read the knowledge base for popular science

Must first read the references/indicators.md file to obtain popular science explanations of common indicators:

3. Collect data

Visit the following data sources in order of priority to collect macro data and policy information released in the past 24 hours:

International data:

• Trading Economics (https://tradingeconomics.com/calendar) - View the economic calendar
• FRED (https://fred.stlouisfed.org/releases) - Federal Reserve economic data releases

Domestic data:

• National Bureau of Statistics (http://www.stats.gov.cn/) - View the latest data releases
• Central bank official website (http://www.pbc.gov.cn/) - Monetary policy, interest rates, liquidity data
• CSRC official website (http://www.csrc.gov.cn/) - Regulatory policy

News and information:

• Cailianshe (https://www.cls.cn/) - Real-time financial news
• Wallstreetcn (https://wallstreetcn.com/) - Market information

4. Organize and integrate

Organize the collected data according to the following structure:

Popular science explanation rules (mandatory):

1. Every indicator must have a popular science explanation added, no exceptions

2. Priority of sources for popular science explanations:

   • First priority: look for an existing explanation in references/indicators.md
   • Second: if it cannot be found, execute the "Unknown Indicator Handling" process

3. Format requirements for popular science explanations:

4. For important data changes, add additional interpretation:

   • Above expectations: Why is it above expectations? What impact does it have on the market?
   • Below expectations: What problem does it reflect? How might policy respond?

Unknown Indicator Handling Process

When encountering an indicator that is not in references/indicators.md:

1. Multi-source search verification Use the browser tool to search for the indicator and visit multiple sources:

   • Search 1: "[indicator name] what does it mean"
   • Search 2: "[indicator name] economic indicator explanation"
   • Search 3: "[indicator name] investing.com" or "[indicator name] trading economics"

2. Cross-validation

   • Compare explanations from multiple sources to ensure accuracy
   • Prefer authoritative sources (central bank official websites, statistics bureaus, well-known financial media)
   • Avoid one-sided explanations from a single source

3. Organize popular science content Organize the search results into an easy-to-understand format:

4. Optional: Update the knowledge base If the indicator is a common indicator, consider adding the explanation to references/indicators.md to avoid repeated searches

5. Push the message

Use the message tool to push the organized report to the user:

Trading Economics Economic Calendar

• Focus: High-importance events (marked in red)
• Fields: Time, Country, Event, Actual Value, Forecast Value, Previous Value

National Bureau of Statistics

• URL: http://www.stats.gov.cn/
• Focus: Latest Data Release section
• Key indicators: GDP, CPI, PPI, PMI, Industrial Value Added, Retail Sales of Consumer Goods

Central Bank Official Website

• URL: http://www.pbc.gov.cn/
• Focus: Press releases, policy interpretation
• Key points: LPR interest rate, MLF operations, open market operations, monetary policy report

Notes

1. Time filtering: Collect data and news published in the past 24 hours (GMT+8)
2. Mandatory explanatory notes: Every indicator must include an explanatory note, with no exceptions
3. Importance ranking: High-importance data is displayed first
4. Concise and clear: Each entry must not exceed 2 lines, highlighting numerical changes
5. Data verification: Compare actual values with forecast values, and mark better-than-expected/worse-than-expected
6. Exception handling: If a data source is inaccessible, skip and record it, without affecting other data sources
