A skill for text, news, and image search using the DuckDuckGo search engine.
When to Use
Use in the following situations:
- When the built-in WebSearch is unavailable (outside the US)
- When news-only search is needed
- When you need to search for image URLs
- When search results need to be saved as JSON or processed programmatically
- When you need to specify a time range (day/week/month/year) in detail
- When search results based on a specific region (Korea, Japan, etc.) are needed
Cases where the built-in WebSearch should be used first:
- Simple text search in the US region
- Quick fact-checking
Core Workflow
Step 1: Determine the search type
Identify the search type from the user request:
- Text search (default): general web search
- News search: includes keywords "news", "recent news", "news"
- Image search: includes keywords "image", "photo", "image", "picture"
Step 2: Run the script

Step 3: Organize the results
Organize the JSON output into a user-friendly form and deliver it.

Error Handling
- Rate Limit: Retry after a moment or reduce the number of results
- Timeout: Check the network and retry
- Package not installed: The script attempts automatic installation. If it fails,
pip install -U ddgsrun manually
