Analyze the article structure and content, identify positions that need visual aids, and generate illustrations with flexible styles.
Task Objectives
- Analyze the article structure and content, and identify paragraph by paragraph the positions that need illustrations
- Generate a detailed illustration plan and prompts for each illustration position
- Use image generation capabilities to create illustrations that conform to the style specifications
- Insert the images into the corresponding positions in the article
Trigger Conditions
The user explicitly requests:
- "Add illustrations to the article"
- "Generate illustrations for the article"
- "Add images"
- "Generate some images for this article"
Workflow
Step 1: Obtain the Article Content
Obtain the article based on the information provided by the user:
- Local path: read the specified Markdown file
- URL: automatically download the Markdown content to a temporary location
Step 2: Analyze Illustration Needs
Analyze the article paragraph by paragraph and identify the positions that need illustrations.
Three Roles of Illustrations:
- Information Supplement: Helps understand abstract concepts (such as "small-step iteration" using a skateboard → bicycle → car evolution diagram)
- Concretization of Concepts: Turns abstract viewpoints into concrete images, letting readers understand at a glance
- Guiding Imagination: Creates atmosphere, stimulates associations, and enhances the reading experience
Content Suitable for Illustrations:
- Abstract concepts that need visualization
- Processes/steps that need diagrams
- Comparative relationships that need visualization
- Core viewpoints that need reinforcement
- Scene descriptions that need to guide imagination
- Emotions/atmosphere that need enhancement
Content That Does Not Need Illustrations:
- Descriptions that are already very intuitive (such as code examples and specific numbers)
- Simple list enumerations
- Quoted original words
Number of Illustrations(by article length):
- Consider at least 1 for each major section, prioritizing core viewpoints and abstract concepts
- Add 1 more as appropriate at the beginning/end (if atmosphere enhancement is needed)
- Principle: more rather than fewer, visual content can significantly improve the reading experience
Step 3: Generate the Illustration Plan
Create a structured plan for each illustration position:
**配图 1**
**插入位置**:[章节名称] / [段落描述]
**配图目的**:[为什么这里需要配图]
**视觉内容**:[图片应该展示什么]
**文件名**:illustration-[slug].png
File Naming Rules:
- Format:
illustration-[slug].png - The slug uses a meaningful English description and complies with the specifications (lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens)
- Example:
illustration-product-evolution.png、illustration-ai-vs-human.png
Step 4: Generate Illustrations
Based on the illustration plan, generate a detailed visual description for each image and create the images.
Generation Requirements:
- Generate each image in order, outputting progress: "Generated X/N images"
- Choose an appropriate style according to the content (refer to
references/style-guide.md) - Each image includes: main subject, layout, color scheme, text (if any)
Image Attributes:
- Ratio: 16:9 horizontal
- Style: Choose minimalist flat vector, sci-fi futuristic, hand-drawn doodle style, etc., according to the content.
- Color scheme: Follow the default color scheme or the style variant scheme.
Step 5: Update the article
Insert the generated images into the corresponding positions in the article.
Insertion rules:
- Insert images after the corresponding paragraph.
- Leave one blank line before and after each image.
- Use Markdown syntax:
 - Use a concise Chinese description for the alt text (5-10 characters).
Image save location:
- Create in the directory where the article is located
imgs/subdirectory - Save all images in this directory.
Step 6: Output summary
After completing all illustrations, output summary information:
配图完成!
文章:[文章路径]
生成数量:X/N 张成功
配图位置:
- illustration-[slug].png → [章节/段落位置]
[如有失败]
失败项:
- illustration-[slug].png:[失败原因]
Illustration strategy
Identify key positions:
- Article opening: Whether there is an introduction that needs atmosphere setting
- Each chapter: Whether the core concept is abstract
- Process steps: Whether visualization is needed
- Comparison content: Whether a diagram is needed
- Summary section: Whether memory reinforcement is needed
Priority ranking:
- Abstract concepts (highest priority)
- Core viewpoints
- Processes/steps
- Comparison relationships
- Atmosphere setting
Style selection principles:
- AI, cutting-edge technology → sci-fi futuristic
- Relaxed, reflective → hand-drawn doodle style
- Processes, comparisons, data → infographic style
- Narrative, imaginative → scene illustration style
- Others → minimalist flat vector (default)

Notes
- Illustrations serve the content: supplement information, make concepts concrete, guide imagination.
- Avoid repeating information that is already very intuitive in the article.
- Maintain stylistic consistency within the same article.
- Use cartoon substitute images for sensitive figures; do not use realistic images.
- Choose the most suitable style variant according to the content.
- Ensure images are clear and readable, with concise and prominent information.
